🤔 The Question That Confused Me One day, I was scrolling through business news and saw something that…
Thabresh Syed — Author, Think2Invest
Computer science guy. Introvert. Someone who found his language in books — finance, startups, products, valuations. I started Think2Invest to share what I keep learning.
It started with a book. Then another. Then I could not stop.
I am not someone who learns well in a classroom. I learn by reading — obsessively, at odd hours, across subjects that most people keep separate. Finance. Startups. Product design. Valuation models. Business operations. I kept filling notebooks with things I wished someone had explained earlier.
My background is computer science. I think in systems. When I got into product management and then finance through my MBA, I realised the same mental models connect all of it — how products scale, how companies are valued, how money moves, how operations either compound your growth or quietly kill it.
As an introvert, I do not network loudly. I think quietly, then write. Think2Invest became the place where everything absorbed — from books, from consulting projects, from late-night rabbit holes — gets organised into something useful for founders, professionals, and people who want to understand how business and money actually work.
As a freelancer, I work on the technical side of startups — cloud infrastructure, scalable systems, operations, MVPs. That hands-on work keeps everything I write grounded in what actually happens inside early-stage companies, not theory.
What I Do as a Freelancer
Working with early-stage startups and founders to build scalable tech foundations and efficient operations from day one.
Startup Infrastructure
Designing and building scalable tech infrastructure for early-stage startups — from architecture decisions to deployment pipelines that grow with your product.
Cloud Solutions
Cloud architecture, migration, and cost optimisation across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Building reliable, cost-efficient systems that scale without breaking the bank.
Operations Optimisation
Identifying and fixing operational inefficiencies — SOPs, process automation, team workflows, and reducing overhead costs for lean startup teams.
Valuation & Funding Strategy
Helping founders understand pre-money and post-money valuation, structure funding rounds, and prepare for investor conversations with clear, defensible numbers.
MVP Development & Product Design
Translating startup ideas into MVPs — product scoping, feature prioritisation, UX thinking, and working with dev teams to ship fast without technical debt.
Product Management Consulting
Structuring product teams, setting up roadmaps, defining KPIs, and bringing clarity to chaotic early-stage product development processes.
